Training our future leaders – The Australian Jewish News

MEMBERS of Sydney’s diverse multicultural communities (pictured) took part in the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies’ (JBD) We Are All Sydney (WAAS) programme, which provides free leadership training to emerging community leaders.

The workshops – held across Sydney from Bondi to Bankstown – have included lessons from experts from Jewish communities and other NGOs on ethics and community values, as well as communications and social media.

“This leadership development and networking program is dedicated to advancing and empowering our diverse community leaders to come together and learn from each other,” said JBD’s Michael Gencher, who coordinates the 2022 program.

“Seeing their shared experiences and participation, and how they [are] building, expanding and strengthening our ethnic, cultural and religious ties – is simply fantastic.

While the participants for this year’s program have already been chosen, the JBD is accepting applications for its upcoming WAAS program.
