The Ooni of Ife and Adimula of Yorubaland, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, conferred on the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and his wife, the titles of chiefdom of Agba Akin and Yeye Agba Akin, respectively .

The event, which occurred on Thursday on the first anniversary of the enthronement of the Kingdom of Alara Ilara, Epe region of Lagos State, Oba Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, Telade IV, also saw the coronation of Mr. Folorunsho Folarin Coker and JK Olayemi as Baba. Eto and Asoju Oba of the kingdom, respectively.

The Deputy Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Oba and the Chiefs and Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Olushola Alao, represented the Ooni at the event, which was also preceded by the launch of the festival Aje to Ilara-Epe

Presenting the crowns, staff and certificates to the newly installed chiefs, Oba Ogunsanwo, urged them to continue to be good ambassadors of the kingdom and, by extension, all of Yorubaland.

He pledged to continue doing his best for the community by working hard to support the rich Yoruba culture, as well as bring development to the kingdom. He added that the community of Ilara would soon be transformed with his fetish project, “AGAPE”, and called on the population and other stakeholders to support him to move the community forward. He also thanked the Ooni of Ife for their leadership role in Yorubaland over the years.

Baba Eto’s attribution of Ilara Kingdom to Coker was remarkable as he put himself in his father’s shoes, the late Chief Nathaniel Folarin-Coker, who was also Baba Eto of Ilara Kingdom.

Like his father, who was an accomplished public servant, he is also currently Managing Director of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC); a development which rightly corroborates the 12th century English poet and writer, William Langland’s popular phrase, “Like Father Like Son: Every good tree brings good fruit.”

Praising Coker’s virtues as he stood on the podium with his wife, Alara described him as a true son of Oodua, a man of the people and a man who devotes his time and energy to serving his family, state, country and royalties. He also thanked Coker for taking care of his mother and other family members.

Ooni’s representative also described him as the Baba Eto of The Source.

Coker’s mother thanked Alara for the honor bestowed on her son, while also expressing her gratitude to her son for taking good care of her and the other family members.

The coronation of Coker, who is also a quintessential socialite, philanthropist and public servant, has attracted the crème de la crème of society, including senior officials, families, friends and supporters, as well as residents of the community. .

The highlight of the event was the decoration of Coker with the traditional beads, chiefdom leaf (Akoko) and cap by an Oba from the land of Ijebu, Ogun state.

Another highlight of the event was the joyful and lively atmosphere created by the sonorous and ‘dancing’ music of Ayo Ajekigbe of Faith Music, who also sang Coker’s praises in the heavens.

As a civil servant, he held various positions, such as personal assistant to the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former deputy chief of staff of Tinubu, former general manager of the production agency Lagos State License Plate and Former Special Advisor. to former governor Babatunde Raji shola in the central business district of Lagos, among others.
